ORGANISATION’S ACTIVITIES

This organization has had to develop excellent relations with other organisations, persons, political and community welfare agencies inside and outside of Australia, in order to benefit from their experience, assistance and services that they provide.

This organization provides support, including helping people with social life, sport & work activities. The organisation’s members responsible for these areas are volunteers who will ensure the maintenance of friendly relationships with other social & political organisations. Volunteers will often also attend initial appointment with migrants for moral support and a service of helping with paperwork and legal issues is also available.

The organisation also will participate in meetings & conferences within cultural, education and festival contexts. And also organises voluntary groups to assist elderly disabled and sick people.

Our organisation encourages and supports community ethnic languages; and aims for better practical ways of learning & improving English for Afghanis residing in Australia.

Purpose of the Organisation…

The purpose of this website is to provide detailed information about services, community organisations and wider assistance available to newly arrived afghan migrants and other Afghans who live in the community With a high influx in the amount of migrants coming to Australia and the complexity of processes, we find it necessary to promote this organisation through a website as many Afghans are not aware that there is assistance available to them.

Feedback from other community agencies has been that many Afghans are asking for assistance or seem to get lost and find it very difficult dealing with getting their lives started without some assistance. Coming from a worn torn country with very little if any English skills makes it very difficult and to come into a foreign country with no assistance is very hard, we are therefore dedicated to promote this organisation so that those who are not aware, whether it be the migrants themselves or other community agencies, come to know of the existence of our organisation and the assistance and services we provide. We are a non profit organization with the sole purpose of helping those in need.

This organisation is opposed to all kinds of discrimination, especially those involving social, religious, ethnic, gender, and language, economical & political discrimination.
